Welcome to Blue Lizard, a beautifully decorated vintage beach house that perfectly captures the coastal charm of Ft. Myers Beach. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat is just 650 feet from the beach and features a private heated pool and a spacious, fenced-in backyard. The gas grill makes poolside BBQs a breeze—ideal for grilling burgers and steaks. Rinse off the sand and saltwater in the convenient outdoor shower, and the backyard gate offers direct access to the beach. Inside, the house has been fully upgraded with brand-new furnishings, modern bathrooms, and a kitchen with stunning granite countertops. The primary bedroom features a queen bed, as do the two guest bedrooms, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests. Make Blue Lizard your go-to vacation getaway!

Welcome to Fort Myers Beach! There are multiple state parks nearby that are waiting for your adventures. Jump on the trolley to take you south to the secluded Lover's Key State Park or go north to Bowditch Point Park. The Fish Tale Marina offers boat rentals and dockage for those wanting to get out on the water. Travel around the island in style in a rented Moke or golf cart. Trolley service is also available from Estero Boulevard to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach. Several restaurants, shops, and bars have come back since the hurricane. If a day trip is what you are looking for check out the Key West Express for an unforgettable trip to Key West. Don’t forget to see Sanibel Lighthouse which is less than 15 miles away! Please note that the area is currently rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. Despite the changes, the island continues to get better and better, inviting you to bask in the sun, sand, and amazing sunsets once again. "Nice house, area, and close to restaurants. Beach chairs and wagons were in BAD shape. The beach chairs were rusted and the wagon was not cooperating. The pool was a plus! Beds are okay to sleep on for a few days. Bring LOTS of bug spray! That whole area is infested with mosquitoes making it hard to go out early am or late at night."

I’m sorry the beach chairs were rusted and the wagon wasn’t working — that shouldn’t happen and we would have sent maintenance if we'd known during your stay; we’ll inspect and repair/replace them right away. I also appreciate the feedback about the beds — if you can tell us which rooms felt less comfortable, we’ll evaluate those mattresses. Apologies that mosquitoes made it hard to enjoy mornings and evenings; we have regular pest control and will review whether additional treatments or guest-friendly repellant options are needed. "Great value for a cozy little place to spend together with family. We enjoyed the pool and the close proximity to the beach. The only slight issue was that the trash from the previous guests was left in the trash bins when we first arrived - however, after we called the issue was promptly taken care of which we greatly appreciated. All in all, definitely recommend for folks looking for a good value!"

"Great visit to Ft Myers Beach! - My 12-yr old daughter and I came to Ft Myers Beach for Spring Break (March 2025). The house was super clean upon arrival and the pool was nice and warm. The beach is a short (5-7 min) walk but not crowded. The house is not close to the “hopping” part of Ft Myers Beach but that was ok with us. There is a Publix about a mile away and another shopping center a mile the other way (7-11, CVS, beach shop, ice cream shop, etc - places are still opening up after the hurricanes recovery so I’m sure more will pop up). Make sure to read the house description about what is and is not included. It’s 100% accurate. There are no beach towels. You get one trash bag, one thing of detergent to run the dishwasher, one thing of detergent for the washing machine. There absolutely no spices, salt, pepper, etc. You have to bring all of that for yourself. Not a huge deal other than the beach towels - I don’t know why a beach house wouldn’t have beach towels. The Publix nearby closes at 7pm and is expensive. So I’d shop before entering the island if I were to do it again. The house has all the kitchen tools you need. Both bathrooms have a hairdryer and lots of bath towels. It’s on a busy road so there was street noise in the morning for the front rooms. But I was able to drown that out with a sound machine. Oh and I have never been to Ft Myers Beach before so am not sure what it looked like pre hurricane. There is construction happening but it feels ready for visitors! Thanks for a great visit!"
