Your vacation home is waiting!

We have just the place for you.

MLB Spring Training 2017 is here!

Future superstar pitcher Chris Sale is changing Sox and coming home for Spring Training 2017 in the Grapefruit League!

Did we say, “future”? The Lakeland native and Florida Gulf Coast University all-star is already a Major League superstar! Yea, we think so. Welcome home, Chris!

Sale will join the Boston Red Sox rotation along with Cy Young Award winners Rick Porcello and David Price after his December trade from the Chicago White Sox.

We have a few vacation homes available for different weeks of the six weeks of spring training (pitchers and catchers report Feb. 13) but you should check our availability because they fill up fast. (In fact, you might even find a major league ball player and his family next door.)

Think Sale wasn’t already a superstar when he wore the FGCU Eagles uniform? The A-Sun Conference Hall of Fame begs to differ: He was inducted into the conference hall of fame as part of its inaugural class in 2015.

The BoSox will open Spring Training play on Feb. 23 at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers in a traditional early exhibition against Boston’s Northeastern University team.

The Mets come to town on Feb. 24 for the official opening of the Grapefruit League.

Across town, the Minnesota Twins open spring play on Feb. 24 at Hammond Stadium at the Century Link Sports Complex hosting our nearest regular season “home team” the Tampa Bay Rays.

Spring training is one of the Sunshine State’s greatest traditions and our Sun Palace Vacation Homes of Fort Myers Beach make for an excellent base camp from which to venture forth to easily reached to Grapefruit League ballparks all over Florida. And, of course, two of the most exciting ballparks and teams are right here in Fort Myers.

The complete spring training schedule is here.
