Welcome to Palm Island. This three bed two bath raised ranch home has an airy feel with an open floor plan and high-pitched ceilings. As you enter the home, there is a dining area that seats 8, an open kitchen, living area, and a laundry room off of the kitchen. Grab a quick cup of coffee or keep the chef company at one of the 2 stools at the kitchen bar that overlooks the cooking area and beautiful granite countertops. A screened in lanai off of the living room, complete with a bistro table and 4 chairs makes for a perfect place to dine al fresco. The primary suite is located off the living area and features a king bed and ensuite with walk-in shower. Located on the opposite side of the home, there is a king guest room and another guest bedroom with two twins. Including a sleeper sofa in the living room, this home sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably. The enclosed pool in the back is a true sanctuary to unwind and remind you why you are on vacation. Area Activities: Welcome to Fort Myers Beach! There are multiple state parks nearby that are waiting for your adventures. Jump on the trolley to take you south to the secluded Lover's Key State Park or go north to Bowditch Point Park. The Fish Tale Marina offers boat rentals and dockage for those wanting to get out on the water. Travel around the island in style in a rented Moke or golf cart. Trolley service is also available from Estero Boulevard to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach. Several restaurants, shops, and bars have come back since the hurricane. If a day trip is what you are looking for check out the Key West Express for an unforgettable trip to Key West. Don’t forget to see Sanibel Lighthouse which is less than 15 miles away! Please note that the area is currently rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. Despite the changes, the island continues to get better and better, inviting you to bask in the sun, sand, and amazing sunsets once again. "Day's FMB trip - Considering we stayed only 12 days after Hurricane Milton swept past FMB, we continue to enjoy the island. There were some minor issues (NOT the owner's fault) which Sun Palace was very accommodating to looking into. The property was comfortable, beautiful and had all the amenities for our home-away-from-home. Thank you Sun Palace for a wonderful property!"

"GREAT Stay - Upon checking out the property when we arrived, we noticed that the balcony sliding door lock was broken. We called the management office and they sent someone right out to fix it. The island is still coming back from the hurricane. The house right across the street was being re-built so we had construction noise from 7am-7pm, but it was nothing that ruined our stay. Coffee place right down the street. Within walking distance to a variety of restaurants. The house was very clean and well stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, pots/pans…all of the comforts of home. "

"This home is beautiful and it's an easy walk to the beach. There was a lovely coffee truck at the end of the street that made for an easy stop for a smoothie, coffee, or sandwich on the way to the beach each day. It was a quiet neighborhood other than some pesky stray roosters. We enjoyed the screened in pool and kid-friendly accommodations with our young kiddos. The area is still very much recovering after hurricane Ian, so not nearly as many restaurants available as you might be used to, but there are still great options. Honestly we enjoyed how light traffic was, and how we basically had the beach to ourselves each day. Be sure to support the local shops and food trucks that have found a way to open up!"

"Great getaway and stay! - Ft. Myers Beach is still very much in recovery mode from the damage from Hurricane Ian. The sheer devastation to the island is evident everywhere. That being said, we still enjoyed our family vacation and FMB. There were fewer restaurants to choose from, but those that were open were very welcoming of visitors and thanked us for coming back. The beaches are still amazing and beautiful, and somewhat empty, which was a nice upside. We were very impressed with Palm Island, although many homes were destroyed on the same street, this one seemed untouched and updated very nicely. Beds and furniture were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with all the amenities we needed for the week with one exception…there were no garbage bags provided. I brought extra dishwasher tabs and detergent from home, there were only 2 provided. There were also only 4 beach towels provided, so we had to do laundry daily for the towels to take to the pool and beach. Plenty of bath towels were provided though.
We were surprised that there was no pool access directly from the house. It’s an elevated ranch so you have to go outside, downstairs, and around to the backyard to access the pool. Not a deal-breaker, but it was inconvenient, especially with little kids. It would have been nice if that was pointed out in the listing.
That being said, the pool area was very clean and the perfect size for our family. We hung out in the loungers, used the grill, and ate on the patio set every day."
